New Shanghai is famous Australia-wide for its chain of restaurants cooking up authentic Shanghainese cuisine. So much so, that the name itself has become synonymous with Xiao Long Bao, with the team serving over five million of these delicious, soupy morsels across the country every year.
Now, the team behind the Chinese culinary giant are cooking up something new with a neverbefore-seen New Shanghai concept set to open on Collins Street in Melbourne’s CBD at the end of March. This is New Shanghai, but not as you know it. Diners at the new venue can expect all their favourite dim sum, plus much more, with noteworthy additions to the new restaurant set to include a large bar area, outdoor dining, an extensive cocktail list, and a creative Chinese-style tapas menu.
