FeatureTHE ART OF UNISEX: Challenging gender in fashion
FashionThe men of MBFWA
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia has wrapped up and while all eyes were on the ladies, the men of MBFWA were also on their A-game, refusing to fade into the background.
While loud colour, exaggerated shapes and the latest trends were on the radar for womenswear street style fashion, it was all about timeless pieces for menswear.
Here are three of our favourite looks from Australia’s most stylish gentlemen:
Mr Turner flexed his styling game with an outfit featuring 50 shades of grey. The GQ insider injected a pop of white into his sleek monotone look with a staple pair of sneakers from European favourites Birkenstock.

Australia’s favourite Bachelor Matty J nailed the check trend with a coat from M.J. Bale. Relying on the classics, he mixed navys with greys, resulting in a smart winter-ready look.

Lachie Brycki finished his outfit with a striped scarf, showing that accessories are key to creating the perfect layered look.

Former AFL player Tom Derickx showed us that you can’t go wrong with a black suit. He made this wardrobe essential Fashion Week-appropriate with a subtle dotted-print.
