Sugar, spice and all things nice – the Gingerbread Village has a new home at St. Collins Lane.
The Gingerbread Village by Epicure is landing at St. Collins Lane on Saturday the 30th of November with the biggest baked village to date!
The iconic Gingerbread Village is back for the ninth year running and will use over 600kg of gingerbread, 460kg of royal icing and 200kg marzipan to impress the masses for a Christmas activity extravaganza.
Kick start your festive season with a wander through the magical Gingerbread Village on Level 1 and discover a new world of delicious gingerbread icons. Familiar Melbourne landmarks from past years return including updates to the MCG, Federation Square, Flinders Street Station and Royal Children’s Hospital.
Other familiar locations have been added to this year’s Village, including the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Shrine of Remembrance.
The perfect day out for the whole family, you will also find Epicure’s famous pastry chefs preparing gingerbread treats to enjoy while you wander or to shop for a special Christmas gift.
Entry is via gold coin donation with all proceeds going to The Royal Children’s Hospital, Epicure’s charity partner. Last year, Epicure’s Gingerbread Village at Federation Square raised more than $30,000 for sick children in need and we are hoping to raise even more this year at St. Collins Lane.
