Royal St. Collins was born from its founders Andrew and Mary’s love of visiting European Tea Houses and Tea Salons. After twenty years of running and operating Caffe e Torta and the Little Royal Macaron kiosk in the historic Royal Arcade, it was a natural move to extend their love for all things coffee, dessert and tea to opening a more sophisticated and luxurious brand.
Royal St. Collins is a European style Tea House located on the Ground Floor of St. Collins Lane that specialises in high tea, but also offers breakfast, lunch and dessert available throughout the day. Boasting the finest ingredients that make up their expansive all-day menu filled with picture-perfect delights and a range of artisan desserts, their food menu is complemented by a large range of exquisite teas from Harney and Sons, and Veuve Clicquot Champagne always flowing for special occasions.
With everything on the menu so thoughtfully displayed, it is no surprise that even the fine china has not been forgotten with treats like their Chocolate Hazelnut Croissants and Mini Smoke Salmon Brioch Rolls presented on luxury teaware from Christina Re’s High Tea Collection.
The brand’s ethos is centred around every guest feeling special and celebrated, with a desire to showcase their exceptional high tea offering to everyone who walks through the doors.
To mark their re-opening, Royal St. Collins are celebrating all things Spring and Summer with a new botanical themed dessert on the menu – an Orange Flourless Cake made with orange and almonds, rosewater icing, pistachios and rose petals, and served with Greek style yoghurt and honey.
If the exquisite shop front does not succeed in bringing you in, then the smell of freshly brewed tea certainly will. With seats available for walk ins or those looking for a spontaneous experience whilst exploring the city, bookings are also recommended if you wish to plan ahead.
In addition, Royal St. Collins are offering a complimentary glass of bubbles, Chandon Blanc de Blancs NV with every booking of high tea for the month of November.
